 Villa is constructing a domestic Airport at the Island of Maamigili in South Ari Atoll under a lease hold agreement with the Government of Maldives.
Work is in progress to complete construction and commence operation of the airport by end of 2010, linking South Ari Atoll with Male’ International Airport and other domestic airports in Maldives by air. This will be an additional advantage for the tourists travelling to the resorts in Ari Atoll as well as locals seeking transport between other destinations in Maldives.
Villa Airport Maamigili will pave the way and establish the first true aviation hub in the Maldives with facilities for long term aircraft parking, technical services, and aviation related training schools.
